  • Autism New Jersey 500 Horizon Drive Robbinsville (map)

Michael has been an Autism New Jersey Ambassador for the past 8 years. This year he is Shaping The Future though his Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout Project, Operation S4. Help Michael collect autism-friendly items to distribute to every police car in Livingston, New Jersey.

Hello, my name is Michael Ileya and I am a Life Scout with Troop 12 in Livingston, NJ. I am starting the first phase of my Eagle Project- Operation S4.

I always wanted my Eagle Project to benefit the autism community and I know that this project will help individuals on the autism spectrum, as well as others, during an emergency.

OPERATION S4:

SENSORY

SUPPORT

SAFETY

SPECTRUM

My project involves making sensory bags that will benefit individuals who display signs of distress during an emergency. Each bag will include a weighted blanket, sunglasses to decrease flashing lights, noise cancelling headphones to block out and/or reduce loud sounds such as sirens, fidget toys, sensory chew necklaces, small dry erase boards for individuals to communicate with or draw on, books, and a portable PECS communication system for nonverbal individuals.

The bags Michael creates will be stored in every Livingston Police car and one at the police station.

Please help Michael Reach his goal!

An Amazon Wish List has been created to help Michael collect the items he needs for his project.
