2022 Max of Marlboro Day of Giving Raised $3,909 for Autism New Jersey
The MAX Challenge of Marlboro raised donations over the course of 6 weeks with the help of corporate sponsors as well as MAX class sponsors. Their final culminating event was the charity class on May 14th, 2022 where the “big check reveal” of $3,909 was presented! All proceeds were donated to Autism New Jersey.
The MAX Day of Giving is an annual event where all MAX Challenge locations do a variety of fundraising efforts for a charity of their choice.
Thanks to our long-time supporter, legendary volunteer, and friend Carrie Prewitt, Autism New Jersey was nominated as one of the non-profits in the running before officially being chosen as the 2022 charity.
Carrie first reached out to Autism New Jersey more than 20 years ago when her son George was diagnosed with autism.
“My son, George, was diagnosed with ASD when he was 2 1/2. I never knew how amazing a young man he would become now at age 27. Of course this took a village of support. When he was younger support and advice often came from calls to COSAC, now Autism New Jersey.” ~ Carrie Prewitt, mom and gym member
“In September of 2018, George won a 10 week Max challenge. He walked into the gym like any other person and was treated with respect and without judgment. From that day forward, with their help, he is on a continued path of physical, nutritional and social/emotional wellness. He experienced such success that I joined in January of 2020 and we are now one big family.”
Special thanks to, Owner, Randi Leib, Director of Operations, Richard Spear and the other trainers at the Max of Marlboro for making this outstanding event happen!
