Investors Foundation $4,000 Donation Supports Ambassador Program

Autism New Jersey, for the third year, has received a generous $4,000 grant from Investors Foundation, providing a boost to our 2022 Ambassador Program. Donations from community partners like Investors Foundation help expand the reach of our ambassadors in April, National Autism Awareness Month. The program’s goal is to increase awareness, education, understanding, and compassion for individuals with autism and their families.

Assistant Vice President Branch Manager Chris Mastalski (pictured right in the photo above) of Investors Bank visited the Autism New Jersey offices to present the check to Autism New Jersey Manager of Special Events, Brynn Alberici (center) and Director of Commutations, Jessica Barkosky.

Specifically, grant funding will help defray the costs producing and distributing Ambassador program hallmarks that we’re resuming after the pandemic halted our initiatives to print and mail free awareness materials. Items include classroom supplies for teachers, posters for businesses, a newly designed kids booklet, awareness information for state legislators, and various other Ambassador-related items.

Autism New Jersey Executive Director, Dr. Suzanne Buchanan underscores the importance of funding for initiatives across the agencies four core service pillars: Information, Education & Training, Public Policy, and Awareness.

“Community partners like Investors Foundation are essential to the important work we do at Autism New Jersey. Our Ambassador Program not only promotes autism awareness, compassion, and acceptance of individuals with autism and their families, but it also raises funds crucial to our organization.

We are proud to offer a free 800.4.AUTISM Helpline, critical resources and information to families and professionals, and extensive public policy work to advocate for laws and regulations that provide more meaningful outcome. The support of our friends in the community is paramount.

Thank you, Investors Foundation, for making New Jersey’s autism community a priority!”

We thank Investors Foundation for its part in SHAPING THE FUTURE!

Ambassadors of all ages engage their communities by creating informational displays and presentations in their schools and workplaces, organizing successful fundraising events, and enlisting the support of legislators and state officials throughout April.
