Jack’s Winning Bookmark Inspires Friendship & Acceptance

Congratulations to Jack from Lanoka Harbor, our 2024 Bookmark Contest winner!

His design is featured on our 2025 bookmarks—Jack’s best friend’s younger brother Evan inspired Jack’s art to promote a message of friendship, acceptance, and inclusion.

Bookmark with the words Your Voice. Your Impact. You Matter with a smiley face drawing.

Jack shared these heartfelt words:

" I met my best friend, Landon, six years ago in first grade. Our families became very friendly and I became close with Landon's younger brother, Evan, who was two when I met him and is now eight.

I did not find out Evan was autistic for the first few years. Kids just play together and he was always just "one of us" and it's been that way the last six years.

Everyone should have an Evan in their life. A lot can be taught without using a lot of words! I hope everyone continues to promote acceptance in our schools towards the autistic communities. We too can communicate without a lot of words back just by showing kindness & love."

Thank you, Jack, for using your creativity to champion acceptance!
